Stock Track | Roundhill Memory ETF Plunges 5.33% in Pre-Market on Profit-Taking and Storage Price Ceiling Concerns

Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM) experienced a significant pre-market decline of 5.33% on Wednesday, following a substantial rally in previous sessions that created concentrated profit-taking pressure.

The decline comes amid emerging signs that the sharp storage chip price increases seen over the past two quarters may be approaching a demand-side ceiling. Reports indicate that several smartphone manufacturers have raised their full-year shipment targets, with incremental volume primarily coming from low-end models that were previously constrained by high storage costs.

Additionally, certain memory product prices at Shenzhen Huaqiangbei have shown slight softening, shaking market confidence in the sustainability of storage price hikes. Industry sources suggest the market is entering a phase where downstream buyers face margin compression if they continue accepting higher prices, indicating building pricing resistance. The broader U.S. memory chip sector traded lower pre-market, with SK Hynix falling over 5%.
