Citigroup has released a research report indicating that Macau's gambling revenue for March 2026 reached MOP 22.612 billion, with an average daily revenue of approximately MOP 729 million. This represents a 15% year-on-year increase and is about 88% of the level recorded in March 2019. The figure is roughly 3% higher than the bank's forecast of MOP 22 billion and about 4% above the market consensus of MOP 21.8 billion. The report notes that this marks the third consecutive month in 2026 that Macau's daily gambling revenue has remained around MOP 730 million, demonstrating that gambling customers remain willing and able to spend despite geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and stock market volatility. The bank highlighted that Macau's event calendar for April remains robust, including concerts by Hong Kong singer Hacken Lee, Thai actor-singer Billkin, and mainland boy band T.O.P., as well as the Weibo International Entertainment Awards 2026. Citigroup conservatively projects that Macau's gambling revenue for April will reach MOP 21 billion, with average daily revenue of about MOP 700 million, implying an 11% year-on-year growth.
