Hong Kong's three major stock indices saw their afternoon declines deepen, with the Hang Seng Index sliding more than 1% and the Hang Seng Tech Index falling nearly 2%.

Among Hang Seng Index constituents, Laopu Gold dropped over 7%, while Zijin Mining Group fell nearly 6% and China Molybdenum Co Ltd declined more than 5%. Both Kuaishou Technology and BYD Electronic lost over 4%, with Xiaomi Corp and JD.com Inc each falling by more than 3%.
