ICE Brent crude oil futures tumbled 4.73% to settle at $83.77 per barrel

The front-month ICE Brent crude oil October contract (the new front-month contract) fell by $4.16 per barrel today, a decline of 4.73%, closing at $83.77.

This marks the largest single-session dollar and percentage drop since Tuesday, July 28, 2026. The contract has declined in five of the past seven trading sessions, reaching its lowest settlement price since Monday, July 13, 2026.

Compared to the 52-week high of $118.35 set on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the price has fallen by 29.22%. It is up 42.18% from the 52-week low of $58.92 recorded on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, and has risen 21.83% compared to this time last year.

Relative to the 2026 settlement high of $118.35 on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the price has dropped by 29.22%. It has gained 39.71% from the 2026 settlement low of $59.96 on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. The current price is 42.65% below the all-time high of $146.08 from Thursday, July 3, 2008.

Year-to-date, the contract has risen by $22.92, representing a gain of 37.67%. All prices are based on the settlement price of the current front-month contract.
