The Chairman of Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Wistron, Lin Hsien-ming, stated on Friday that artificial intelligence is not a bubble and projected that the growth of AI-related orders in 2026 will surpass last year's increase.

Speaking to reporters in Taipei, Lin, whose company is a supplier to NVIDIA, said, "We believe AI can genuinely empower various industries, so we do not consider this a bubble. Instead, it will inaugurate a completely new era; the new age of AI has already arrived."

He added that Wistron's order visibility through 2027 is positive, with the order volume for 2026 expected to show "significant" growth compared to the previous year.

Wistron announced last year that its new US manufacturing facility being built for NVIDIA is scheduled for completion in 2026. The company is also in discussions with other potential clients regarding collaborations.

Lin revealed that this US manufacturing base is set to commence mass production in the first half of 2026.

NVIDIA plans to build artificial intelligence servers in the US over the next four years with a total value of up to $500 billion. Wistron's US facility will provide supporting capacity for this initiative.

In April of last year, NVIDIA disclosed plans to establish supercomputer manufacturing plants in Texas. The facility developed in partnership with Foxconn will be located in Houston, while the facility built in collaboration with Wistron will be situated in Dallas.
