Ferrari Lifts Full-Year Forecasts as Demand for Personalized Vehicles Remain Strong

Ferrari has slightly raised its full-year financial guidance, driven by sustained strong demand for vehicle customization and increased deliveries of new models in the second quarter. The Italian luxury sports car maker said on Thursday that it now expects annual revenue of approximately €7.6 billion ($8.72 billion), up from a prior estimate of around €7.5 billion, while adjusted earnings before interest and taxes are projected at least €2.26 billion, compared to the previous forecast of at least €2.22 billion.

Better-than-expected demand for personalization and a reduced negative impact from currency fluctuations were the primary reasons for the upward revision. Ferrari noted that the guidance is based on its current visibility regarding the impact of the Middle East crisis. The company's profit margin targets remain unchanged.

Chief Executive Benedetto Vigna commented, "Today we have the most complete product lineup in Ferrari's history, with demand still strong and the order book already fully covering 2027." The company delivered 3,366 vehicles to customers during the quarter, a decrease of 128 units compared to the same period last year, as it continues to implement its model transition plan. FactSet analyst expectations had forecast deliveries of 3,407 units.

In the quarter, deliveries of the 12Cilindri, Purosangue, 296 Speciale, and F80 series increased, while shipments of the Amalfi and 849 Testarossa continued to climb. Meanwhile, deliveries of the 296 GTS, Roma Spider, and SF90 XX series declined as production began to be phased out.

Despite Ferrari's earlier announcement of scaling back its electric vehicle ambitions to focus on increasing the proportion of internal combustion engine models in the coming years, the company debuted its first fully electric vehicle, the Luce, during the quarter. The Luce was launched in May, but initial market reaction was cool, with the stock price falling more than 8% on the day of the announcement.

In Ferrari's largest regional market, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, second-quarter deliveries rose 13% year over year. All other regions saw declines, with the Americas down 21%, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan down 32%, and the rest of Asia-Pacific down 7.4%.

Second-quarter earnings before interest and taxes came in at €605 million, up from €552 million in the same period last year, with a margin of 31.2%, mainly attributed to higher levels of personalization and deliveries of the higher-margin F80 model. Revenue rose 8.4% to €1.94 billion. A FactSet analyst survey had forecast EBIT of €576 million and revenue of €1.87 billion.
