Since the start of this year, Wenhui Road Subdistrict has upheld Party-building leadership, focusing on the urgent concerns of residents, coordinating improvements to residential living conditions, commercial district upgrades, and grassroots governance efficiency. The subdistrict has used small-scale, targeted renovation projects to fill infrastructure gaps, bringing urban renewal to the "last meter" of community service, and continuously enhancing residents' sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security.

Addressing Gaps to Improve Living Conditions

By conducting door-to-door visits, grid-based discussions, and neighborhood consultation meetings, the subdistrict gathered input from over 900 households and collected more than 130 suggestions. These public demands were taken as the starting point for renovations, targeting prominent issues such as aging facilities, cluttered environments, and safety hazards. Corroded and damaged fitness equipment was replaced, benefiting nearly 800 residents across three surrounding residential complexes. Additionally, 14 new leisure benches, 2 ping-pong tables, and 20 non-motor vehicle charging stations were installed. A 360-meter stretch of outdated drainage pipes was replaced and dredged to prevent flooding during rainy seasons. Over 110 corridor lighting units were replaced, and more than 60 areas of cluttered hallways and basements were cleared, allowing residents to enjoy convenient amenities right at their doorstep with significantly improved comfort and safety. The subdistrict also completed safety assessments for 128 elevators, added 3 new elevators, created over 70 new parking spaces, demolished 2 dangerous structures, and built 1 pocket park, making stair access more convenient, parking easier, and leisure time more enjoyable, steadily boosting residents' happiness.

Upgrading Commercial Streets to Boost Vitality

Using the "Romantic Flower Street" project on the North Street of Wanda Golden Street as a focal point, the subdistrict implemented landscape enhancements and comprehensive management. More than 60,000 flowers and plants were planted to create a scenic streetscape that makes strolling more pleasant. Supporting features such as mist systems, nighttime lighting, and a naked-eye 3D screen were added to continuously enrich the consumer experience. Business offerings were diversified to meet the needs of young consumers, and 7 themed market events were held, filling the area with a lively yet heartwarming atmosphere. A monthly "red and black list" assessment for merchants was introduced, leading to the cleanup of 42 sanitation blind spots, corrective actions for 55 merchants, and the removal of 7 unauthorized structures, giving the street a fresh new look. Currently, the street is home to 289 merchants, with an average daily foot traffic of 12,000 visitors, nearly 30% of whom are tourists from other regions. This has achieved a win-win outcome: an improved environment, a more vibrant commercial district, and increased consumer spending.

Consolidating Efforts to Establish Long-Term Mechanisms

Strengthening Party-building leadership, a dedicated task force was established, innovatively combining a "task force + grid workers + Party member volunteers + property management + new industry practitioners" pentagonal governance model. The "mobile eyes" of food delivery riders were enlisted to conduct dynamic safety hazard inspections. Platforms such as warm service stations, red reception halls, and neighborhood consultation meetings were utilized to ensure closed-loop handling of public demands. Throughout the year, over 20 consultation sessions were held, resolving more than 30 conflicts related to construction and parking, eliminating 79 public area hazards, and organizing 36 hallway environment cleanups. Every public demand received a response, and every matter was addressed. Party members, building directors, and resident volunteers were mobilized to participate in daily inspections, transforming residents from mere "bystanders" of renovation into "co-builders" of their community. This shift marks the transition of urban renewal from project-based construction to routine, long-term governance.
