Greentech Technology International Limited (Stock Code: 00195) reported a 29.7% year-on-year increase in revenue to HK$508.71 million for the six months ended 30 June 2024, driven by higher tin production volume and a rise in average tin prices. Gross profit reached HK$122.60 million, while net profit stood at HK$28.11 million, of which HK$15.82 million was attributable to owners of the Company. According to management, overall results were boosted by core mining operations in Tasmania, Australia, with total tin metal production at the Renison underground mine rising 11.8% to 4,778 tonnes. The Group also expanded into tin trading in May 2024.

Regarding corporate updates, the Company’s shares have been suspended from trading on the Stock Exchange since 2 September 2024 pending publication of its 2024 interim results. Resumption guidance includes completing an independent forensic investigation into several past transactions, conducting an internal control review, and meeting the related requirements of the Stock Exchange. The Group remains focused on maintaining stable operations and continuing development at the Renison mine, including further drilling and feasibility studies for possible tailings redevelopment. Management also reiterated their outlook for sustained tin demand in downstream consumption, emphasizing continuous exploration and potential new tin supply contracts. On the legal front, the Group received a judgment in July 2024 regarding long-standing disputes over the sale and purchase agreement of Parksong Mining, which clarified certain receivables and liabilities. The Board indicated it continues to manage its legal affairs while striving for eventual trading resumption and business growth.
