His views have been publicly supported by entrepreneur Elon Musk and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, marking a rare moment of consensus among the prominent figures.

This sudden alignment between Amodei, Musk, and Altman highlights how quickly concerns about AI have moved from the industry's fringe to its very core. However, despite this growing chorus of caution, significant obstacles remain in translating these calls for a slowdown into concrete action.
