Chinese ADRs highlighted the session as Alibaba climbed more than 4%.

Momentum clustered in data-center and AI hardware, as evidenced by gains in AVGO up 2.97% and sector ETFs, underscoring investors’ confidence in long-term semiconductor demand. Conversely, profit-taking in streaming and select megacaps weighed on broader sentiment, but the tech-heavy NASDAQ still ended higher thanks to outsized moves in chip and crypto-related counters.
