Edwards Lifesciences shares surged 5.76% over the past 24 hours, extending a powerful after-hours rally triggered by the company’s second-quarter results. The medical-technology company reported adjusted earnings of $0.78 per share, beating the consensus estimate of $0.74, while revenue climbed 13.6% to $1.74 billion, surpassing the $1.70 billion analysts had forecast. Both top and bottom lines reflected double-digit growth from the prior-year period.

The upbeat results were driven by sustained clinical momentum across its core product lines. Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) sales rose 11.3% to $1.26 billion, supported by new evidence favoring earlier treatment and the exit of a competitor. Transcatheter mitral and tricuspid therapies (TMTT) sales jumped 47.3% on increased adoption of PASCAL and EVOQUE systems. The company also raised its full-year sales growth guidance to 10%–11% from 9%–11% and lifted the lower end of its TAVR growth outlook, while reaffirming adjusted EPS guidance of $2.95–$3.05.

Investor sentiment got an additional boost as J.P. Morgan raised its price target on the stock to $105 from $100, reflecting confidence in the company’s growth trajectory. With an aging population and expanding procedural demand, Edwards Lifesciences’ strong quarterly performance and improved outlook reinforced Wall Street’s bullish view on the stock.
