On December 1, Taobao officially launched two core products—"Taobao Health Card" and "AI Drug Finder"—marking a breakthrough in its integration with Alibaba's ecosystem. The initiatives aim to establish a comprehensive "full-cycle health service portal" in collaboration with ecosystem partners.
The "Health Card" will be included as a benefit for 88VIP members, while the "AI Drug Finder" was co-developed with Tongyi Lab. This move underscores Taobao's deepening alignment with Alibaba's broader digital health strategy.
Taobao has also partnered with leading pharmaceutical brands such as Johnson & Johnson, Haleon, CR Sanjiu, Guoyao Taiji, Kuihua Pharma, Yunnan Baiyao, Viatris China, Guangzhou Baiyunshan, and CR Jiangzhong, along with AI healthcare tech firm Momentum Technology. Together, they signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the "Health Guardian Plan," focusing on digital collaboration to transition from "drug sales" to "health management" in the pharmaceutical retail sector.
