A new energy project in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, with a total investment of 37 billion yuan, has officially been connected to the power grid.

The project boasts a total installed capacity of 1,000 megawatts, comprising 850 megawatts of wind power and 150 megawatts of photovoltaic power.

It is equipped with a 150MW/300MWh energy storage system and is expected to generate approximately 3 million megawatt-hours of wind power annually.

This annual output is estimated to replace about 910,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1.454 million tons.

The project, named the Guofeng Chifeng 1,000 MW Desert Wind-Solar-Storage Base Project, was developed through a joint venture between the Chifeng State-owned Assets Group and Inner Mongolia Guolong Energy Management Co., Ltd.

It represents a key national project under the third batch of large-scale wind and solar power base initiatives in desert and Gobi areas.

The development model integrates wind power, solar power, energy storage, and ecological restoration, promoting a synergistic approach and an innovative three-dimensional concept of "generating electricity above the panels while controlling desertification beneath them."

The project involved the construction of a new 220KV booster station and a 500KV collection station, connecting to the Tongliao City Naiman Jinsha Substation on the 500KV side.

This initiative transforms former barren sandy land into a green energy base, actively supporting the construction requirements of the "Three-North" Shelterbelt Program.

Inner Mongolia Guolong Energy Management Co., Ltd. was established in July 2020 with a registered capital of 41 million yuan and is headquartered in Linxi County, Chifeng City.

The company focuses on building an integrated clean energy ecosystem and operates as a comprehensive energy firm specializing in investment and operations within the clean energy sector.

It actively explores green and low-carbon development pathways, with a core technical system centered on source-grid-load-storage coordination, electricity market trading, and comprehensive energy services.

The company integrates technologies such as virtual power plant theory, power market trading, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence to construct a green energy ecosystem.

The majority shareholder of the company is Inner Mongolia Guolong New Energy Development Co., Ltd., holding a 60% stake.
