Within this segment, service revenue derived from household scenarios surged by 69.6% year-over-year.
For the first half of 2026, JD.com generated total revenue of 662.1 billion yuan (approximately $97.6 billion). As of the end of the second quarter, JD.com reported double-digit year-over-year growth in annual active users, quarterly active users, and the number of JD PLUS members. Additionally, the company has intensified its investment in technology research and development, with total R&D spending across the JD ecosystem rising by 53% in the first half of 2026.
"Our second-quarter results demonstrate resilient, high-quality operational performance," said JD.com CEO Sandy Xu. "While revenue growth faced temporary disruptions, the significant improvement in profit marks a clear inflection point in the company's earnings trajectory. This profit enhancement was primarily driven by the solid profitability of our core business, JD Retail, along with continued narrowing of losses in the JD Meishi (JD Food) delivery segment. This performance fully validates the resilience of our supply chain-based business model and the team's focus on operational efficiency. Leveraging these strengths, we are poised to continue driving momentum and further unlock potential in the second half of the year."
