Stamford Land Corporation said on Jan, 16 2026 that its wholly owned subsidiary, HSH Hotels (Australia), has been named in Supreme Court of New South Wales proceedings concerning alleged building defects at the Macquarie Park Village residential development in Sydney.

The Owners Corporations of Macquarie Park Village claim defect-related rectification costs and other losses against HSH Hotels, acting as trustee of the Macquarie Park Village (2018) Trust, and against the project’s design-and-construct contractor, Parkview Construction. The alleged issues cover concrete works, façade, drainage, tiling and fire utilities, and include accusations of breaches of statutory warranties under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW).

Stamford Land said the Owners Corporations have not yet quantified their claims and that the case is still at an early stage, with no court-ordered timetable for pleadings or expert evidence. HSH Hotels has filed a cross-claim against Parkview Construction for breach of contract, breach of statutory warranties and indemnification.

Any liability arising from the lawsuit would be limited to the assets of the Macquarie Park Village Trust and is therefore not expected to have a direct financial impact on Stamford Land. The company warned, however, that replacing HSH Hotels as trustee of other trusts could trigger stamp-duty costs.

Stamford Land said it will update shareholders on any material developments.
