Cainiao has announced a new round of upgrades to its European G2G (country-to-country) cross-border logistics service. The network for Eastern European deliveries has been fully integrated, improving delivery times by one calendar day. A less-than-container-load (LCL) pickup service has also been launched for shipments destined for Germany, with a minimum order threshold of just 50 shipments for pickup arrangements, significantly lowering the entry barrier for small and medium-sized sellers.

Official information indicates that since launching its G2G pan-European cross-border logistics solution last year, Cainiao has enabled express delivery services between 35 countries (including islands) within the European region.

The European G2G business lead at Cainiao stated that the cross-border logistics demands in the European market are shifting from basic delivery capability to focusing on speed and minimum order quantities. The core logic of this upgrade is to refine the granularity of service. The acceleration for Eastern Europe addresses speed issues, while the German LCL service tackles the accessibility barrier. The goal is to provide cost-effective regional logistics services across Europe for clients of all sizes.
