Recently, the 2025 Lianyungang Liandao Half Marathon commenced at Hai Zai Yi Fang Park in Lianyungang District. Nearly 7,000 participants from 30 provinces across China gathered at Liandao, a national 5A-level scenic spot, to experience the unique charm of one of the "Top Ten Most Beautiful Islands in China." To ensure seamless network connectivity during the event, CHINA MOBILE's Lianyungang branch (referred to as "Lianyungang Mobile") collaborated closely with the organizing committee, delivering exceptional technical support and reliable services to guarantee secure and smooth communication for all runners.
To prepare for the event, Lianyungang Mobile assembled a dedicated team of over 10 volunteers specializing in network optimization and customer response. The team conducted pre-event network testing along the race route and performed capacity assessments at the start and finish lines. Based on real-time conditions, they formulated precise support plans to ensure optimal network performance for participants and staff.
On-site optimizations included expanding 5G coverage with eight additional base stations, achieving download speeds of 1,000 Mbps and upload speeds of 286 Mbps. This ensured high-speed, uninterrupted connectivity for all attendees. Additionally, customized caller ID services were provided, featuring the tagline "CHINA MOBILE – Leading the Race," further enhancing the marathon experience.
As a China Athletics Association Class B certified event, the "Lianyungang Liandao Marathon" seamlessly integrated competitive sports with coastal scenery and cultural experiences, showcasing the city's unique landscape of "mountains, sea, ports, islands, and urban charm." Throughout the event, Lianyungang Mobile remained committed to supporting runners, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
