Berkshire Hathaway CEO Greg Abel, when questioned about who would assume the role of his chief strategist akin to Charlie Munger's support for Warren Buffett, did not identify a single individual. Instead, he highlighted the importance of his existing senior executive team. Abel stated that the key is to surround oneself with talented people, noting that such individuals are already present within the company's team. He cited several executives as examples: - Adam Johnson, who leads Berkshire's consumer products, services, and retail sectors and also oversees the private jet company NetJets; - Vice Chairman of Insurance Operations, Ajit Jain; - and BNSF Railway CEO Katie Farmer. All three executives joined Abel on stage during the Saturday afternoon session of the annual shareholders meeting. Abel commented that the CEOs of Berkshire's various subsidiary companies form an excellent team. He added that for specific matters, he can readily seek advice and input from any of them.
