In alignment with the 2026 National Cybersecurity Awareness Week activities in the Jingmen region, the local education system has rolled out a comprehensive campaign under the theme "Cybersecurity for the People, Cybersecurity by the People — Smart Era Cyber Defense." From September 14 to 17, primary schools, secondary schools, universities, and kindergartens across the city participated in cybersecurity education initiatives, reaching a total of more than 300,000 students and educators.

Jingmen Longquan Middle School conducted a dedicated lecture on anti-online fraud, while Jingmen Duodao Stone Middle School hosted a themed seminar on cybersecurity. The Jingmen Municipal Education Bureau provided unified coordination, with each school taking clear responsibility for implementation. Authorities collaborated with public security and cyberspace administration departments to deliver expert-led talks, while simultaneously strengthening teacher training programs. Technical teams conducted security vulnerability inspections across campus networks, academic affairs and student management systems, and teacher-student terminals, thereby reinforcing the foundational technology defense infrastructure.

Jingmen Longquan North Campus organized an educational session titled "Guard Your Digital Youth: Be a Smart Navigator in the Online Era," and Zhongxiang Aitongbao Kindergarten held an open class featuring "Teachers and Students Learning Cybersecurity Together." These activities were carried out through both online and offline channels, ensuring broad and practical reach. Online quizzes, official WeChat accounts, class group messages, and campus radio broadcasts were utilized to push cybersecurity knowledge to students and extend awareness into households. To cater to the cognitive development of different age groups, organizers implemented tiered education methods, including cartoon-based science explanations, scenario-based teaching, legal lectures, public service video screenings, knowledge contests, and exhibition board learning.

Students were actively encouraged to participate in hands-on creative projects, such as producing short videos, serving as junior cybersecurity ambassadors, and designing themed bookmarks. These activities transformed students from passive recipients into active communicators of cybersecurity knowledge, achieving a seamless integration of learning and practice. Jingshan Luodian Town Primary School hosted a cybersecurity knowledge competition, while Jingmen Xiangshan Primary School organized student visits to cybersecurity warning exhibition panels.

The initiative yielded valuable experience, underscoring that only through clear accountability, targeted instruction, collaboration among families, schools, and communities, and a combined approach of awareness campaigns and technical inspections, can the campus cybersecurity foundation be solidified. Moving forward, the Jingmen education system will establish long-term mechanisms to integrate cybersecurity education into regular classroom curricula, conduct routine skills training, and deepen family-school-community partnerships, all aimed at fostering a clean and secure online environment for young people.
