China has officially taken a leading role in the global standardization of solid-state batteries, marking a significant milestone for the new energy industry. The Standardization Administration of China has confirmed that a proposal spearheaded by the country, titled "Secondary Lithium-Ion Batteries for Electric Vehicle Propulsion - Application Guide, Test Items, and Conditions for Solid-State Batteries," has successfully been registered by the International Electrotechnical Commission. This achievement represents the very first international standard ever established in the field of solid-state battery technology.
Solid-state batteries are widely considered a pivotal next-generation advancement in lithium-ion technology. In comparison to traditional liquid electrolyte batteries, they provide extended driving range, enhanced safety features, and superior performance stability.
