Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates saw a broad uptick on August 24, with the one-month rate, closely tied to mortgage lending, rising 0.875 basis points to 2.69452%.
The three-month rate, a key indicator of bank funding costs, advanced 0.946 basis points to 2.94452%. Meanwhile, the overnight rate climbed 7.816 basis points to 2.75566%, while the one-week rate increased 6.934 basis points to 2.72458%. The two-week rate also moved higher, gaining 3.506 basis points to 2.68958%.
In other maturities, the two-month rate rose 1.440 basis points to 2.85089%. On the longer end of the curve, the six-month rate held steady at 3.20000%, while the one-year rate remained unchanged at 3.50000%.
