The Hang Seng Tech Index climbed more than 2% in afternoon trading. Tech heavyweight TENCENT saw a short-term rally, rising over 3%, while BIDU-SW advanced more than 4%. MEITUAN-W and NTES-S also joined the upward trend, each gaining 2%.
