Hong Kong-listed Mega Genomics Limited repurchased 101,200 ordinary shares on 9 July 2026, paying between HKD 6.80 and HKD 7.40 per share. The volume-weighted average purchase price was HKD 7.32, bringing the total cash outlay to HKD 0.74 million.
Following the transaction, the company’s outstanding share count (excluding treasury shares) fell by 0.0451% to 224.06 million. Treasury stock rose to 238,000 shares, while the total number of issued shares remained unchanged at 224.30 million, as the repurchased stock is being held in treasury rather than cancelled.
The buyback was executed under the authority granted by shareholders on 21 May 2026, which permits the repurchase of up to 22.43 million shares. Cumulatively, Mega Genomics has now repurchased 238,000 shares under this mandate, representing 0.11% of the company’s issued shares at the mandate date. A 30-day moratorium on new share issues or treasury share sales is in effect until 9 August 2026, in accordance with Hong Kong listing rules.
Director Jiang Jing confirmed that the repurchase complied with all relevant regulatory requirements and that the company has received all necessary approvals and completed required filings.
