Sun Hung Kai & Co. Limited (00086) has announced a forthcoming board transition centred on director retirements and a committee appointment.
Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) Vivian Alexa Kao will retire from the Board at the conclusion of the company’s annual general meeting scheduled for 27 May 2026. Her departure will also end her duties on both the Risk Management Committee and the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee. Kao opted not to seek re-election to devote more time to personal commitments and confirmed no disagreement with the Board.
Non-Executive Director (NED) Simon Chow Wing Charn will likewise retire at the 2026 AGM. Chow, who served as an Executive Director from June 2015 before moving to a non-executive role in July 2023, cited personal commitments for not standing for re-election. He also affirmed there are no outstanding issues requiring shareholder attention.
Effective 19 March 2026, Independent Non-Executive Director William Thomas Royan will join the Risk Management Committee, filling one of the vacancies created by Kao’s departure.
The Board expressed its appreciation to both departing directors for their contributions during their respective tenures.
