Shares of TOPNC (07688) climbed more than 7% in Hong Kong trading, with the stock last up 7.38% at HK$20.80, reflecting a turnover of HK$11.87 million.

The rally follows the company's announcement that its H-shares will be added to the Hang Seng Composite Index constituent list and included in the Stock Connect program, effective September 7, 2026. The inclusions, determined by Hang Seng Indexes Company, represent strong market recognition of the company's performance and value. The Stock Connect designation enables eligible mainland Chinese investors to directly trade the H-shares through the Shanghai and Shenzhen Connect schemes, a development expected to broaden the company's investor base, enhance trading liquidity, and further optimize its shareholder structure.

In its interim results report, TOPNC highlighted that the commercial rocket and domestic large aircraft sectors have grown rapidly since the second half of 2025. Bolstered by supportive national policies, increased private capital investment, and the expansion of the entire industry chain, the company's equipment demand and order bookings have reached unprecedented levels.

In June of this year, the company successfully delivered its first 5-meter-class friction stir welding production line for a private Chinese commercial rocket company. Additionally, in the development of key structural components for commercial rockets, TOPNC and its clients completed a double-sided friction stir welding test on 50mm-thick aluminum alloy plates, achieving weld strength exceeding 90% of the base material. The test also validated the company's independently developed 430Nm heavy-duty spindle and intelligent control system.
