China Datang Corporation Renewable Power Co., Limited (Datang Renewable, 01798) reported total electricity generation of 2.76 million MWh in May 2026, down 9.41% from a year earlier. The decline was led by a 9.96% contraction in wind power output to 2.30 million MWh, while photovoltaic (PV) generation slipped 6.53% to 0.45 million MWh.

Cumulative output for the first five months reached 14.55 million MWh, a 9.96% year-on-year decrease. Wind power contributed 12.47 million MWh, down 12.89%, outweighing the positive impact of a 12.85% rise in PV generation to 2.08 million MWh.

Regional dynamics were mixed in May. Within the wind segment, Fujian (+47.02%) and Xinjiang (+101.32%) delivered the strongest monthly growth, contrasting with sharp falls in Jilin (-27.03%), Gansu (-27.12%), and Ningxia (-27.34%). For PV, Shanxi (+214.19%) and Xinjiang (+50.44%) led gains, while Qinghai (-39.66%) and Ningxia (-42.11%) posted the steepest declines.

Management did not disclose guidance, but the data underline the Group’s ongoing sensitivity to wind resource variability and the increasing contribution of its solar portfolio.
