At the 2026 interim results conference held on August 28, China Construction Bank (CCB) Vice President Han Jing underscored the bank's consistent focus on achieving sustained and stable growth in fee income. Han remarked that "the steady increase in net fee income acts as a key yardstick for evaluating a commercial bank's overall service capabilities." She noted that CCB has leveraged the evolving trends in capital markets and direct financing to actively transition from a credit intermediary to a service-oriented intermediary, enabling the bank to maintain a leading edge over its peers. In the first half of the year, net fee income reached 64.289 billion yuan.

Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Han outlined that CCB will persist in prioritizing clients' diverse investment and wealth management needs, adhering to the principle of creating value through services. The bank will focus on facilitating the preservation and growth of client wealth by enhancing the synergy among wealth management, asset management, and asset custody services, thereby delivering superior products and services. In response to the national strategy of expanding domestic demand and boosting consumption, CCB will continue to strengthen its payment ecosystem, broaden its payment product offerings, and extend the coverage of consumer payment and settlement services. Furthermore, seizing the opportunities presented by industrial upgrades and high-level opening-up, the bank aims to refine the efficiency and user experience of its corporate banking services across various sectors.

"Our goal is to generate more value for our clients while simultaneously advancing CCB's own value proposition, thereby solidifying our competitive advantage in fee income," Han concluded.
