At the 12th China and Globalization Forum held in Beijing on April 26, themed "Innovation Globalization: New Drivers and Challenges," Norway's Ambassador to China, H.E. Vebjørn Dysvik, emphasized that while the world faces numerous challenges, policies should not be driven solely by concern but must actively steer developments in a positive direction.

Ambassador Dysvik noted that Norway supports and protects mobile platform tools related to trade. As an open economy that has benefited from globalization, Norway shares common values and interests with Nordic countries and the European Union, cooperating through the European Economic Area. He stated, "Like China, we value maintaining a rules-based global trading system."

Looking ahead, he called for creating a more level playing field for both developed and developing economies. This involves examining issues such as subsidies, industrial policies, and price stability, while improving safety measures. He stressed the importance of both preserving the existing global trade system and modernizing it to address new challenges. This requires renewed and revised commitments from all members and a reaffirmation of core values.

"Addressing global challenges demands collective solutions," he said. "Organizations that respect international law and adhere to shared rules are key to writing a new chapter in Europe-China relations."
