"We are examining all options on how to move forward," US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated on Fox Business.
"The President is very engaged on this," Bessent remarked when responding to questions about the administration's consideration of taking Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac public.
He added that the White House aims to maximize taxpayer value while maintaining, or even reducing, the spread between mortgage rates and Treasury rates.
