US stocks closed lower on Tuesday as rising long-term Treasury yields dampened market sentiment, with all three major indices ending the session in negative territory. The dollar strengthened while the 10-year Treasury yield held steady at the 5% level, putting pressure on gold prices, though oil prices continued their upward momentum.

Hong Kong's three major indices opened higher on Wednesday, with the Hang Seng Index climbing 0.5% to 24,789.91 points. The Hang Seng Tech Index advanced 0.47%, while the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 0.45%.

In early trading, internet and technology stocks saw broad gains, with Lenovo surging over 2% and Baidu rising more than 1%. Oil-related shares were also active, with CNOOC adding nearly 1%. Storage concept stocks moved higher across the board, as Montage Technology climbed over 1%. On the downside, some lithium battery stocks slipped, with CATL dropping more than 2%.
