GREEN POWER GP H1 2026: Revenue Jumps 76.6%, Loss Narrows on Robust BMU and New Zealand Renewable Sales

GREEN POWER GP (Green Power Group Limited) released its unaudited results for the six months ended 30 June 2026.

Financial Performance • Revenue climbed 76.6% year on year to HK$118.96 million, driven by stronger contributions from both the BMU Systems Business and the Green Power Energy Business.

• Gross profit surged to HK$18.36 million (1H 2025: HK$1.88 million), lifting gross margin to 15.4% from 2.8%.

• Period loss decreased to HK$18.02 million, compared with HK$24.39 million a year earlier. Basic loss per share narrowed to 1.63 HK cents from 3.31 HK cents.

Segment Highlights • BMU Systems Business: Revenue increased 68.0% to HK$72.43 million, reflecting the completion of projects deferred from 2025.

• Green Power Energy Business: Turnover rose 91.3% to HK$46.54 million. Within this segment: – Renewable energy solutions in New Zealand contributed HK$43.27 million, up 62.8%. – AI+ electricity trading in mainland China reported HK$3.26 million, reversing a negative HK$2.25 million in 1H 2025.

Balance Sheet and Liquidity • Cash and cash equivalents plus pledged and restricted deposits totalled HK$88.39 million (31 Dec 2025: HK$83.36 million).

• Total borrowings stood at HK$47.83 million; the gearing ratio increased to 43.1% from 37.5% at end-2025, mainly due to higher short-term borrowings.

• Unutilised banking facilities amounted to HK$102.60 million, of which HK$43.20 million require 1:1 deposit pledges.

Operating and Strategic Updates • The company advanced its 218 MW/436 MWh energy-storage project in Shaoguan, Guangdong, and signed a cooperation framework with LONGi Group to support Southeast Asia and Oceania expansion.

• Planned overseas growth includes rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects of 70–100 MW in Vietnam and a 40 MW aquavoltaics project in the Philippines, targeting 10–20 GW of installed capacity across Southeast Asia within five years.

• The BMU Systems Business continues to monitor Hong Kong’s construction market amid persistent uncertainties.

Capital Movements • No share placements, buy-backs or redemptions occurred during the period. • Total shares in issue remained at 1.017 billion following the 2025 placements and share subscription that converted shareholder loans to equity.

Dividends • The board declared no interim dividend for 1H 2026 (1H 2025: nil).

Subsequent Event • On 14 July 2026 the company’s name was officially changed to “Green Power Group Limited” (Chinese: 綠色電能集團有限公司).

Auditor & Governance • The interim results were reviewed by the Audit Committee comprising all three independent non-executive directors. • The company reported full compliance with the Hong Kong Corporate Governance Code and directors confirmed adherence to the Model Code for securities transactions.
