Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed stated on March 9 that Qatar is committed to maintaining the stability of the global energy market. He affirmed that once the regional situation returns to stability, Qatar will fully resume its energy supplies.

Mohammed emphasized that the current regional conflicts not only threaten area security but also pose significant risks to the global energy market and supply chains. He clarified that Qatar's suspension of liquefied natural gas production is a temporary precautionary measure taken under the present circumstances.

On March 2, QatarEnergy announced its decision to halt production of liquefied natural gas and related products after two of its energy facilities were attacked by drones.

Qatar holds the world's third-largest natural gas reserves and is one of the most critical global producers of natural gas.
