Emperor Culture Group Limited (「Emperor Culture Group」) has issued its 2024/2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, presenting initiatives on environmental protection, social responsibility, governance practices, and community involvement.
Emperor Culture Group focuses on reducing its greenhouse gas emissions, optimising energy use, and curbing waste generation. Usage data for electricity and water is regularly tracked, and specific targets are set to cut consumption. Cinemas under Emperor Culture Group implement measures such as using LED lights, establishing a default energy-saving mode for appliances, and promoting waste reduction.
In employee management, Emperor Culture Group reports a total headcount of 585 as of 30 June 2025. Policies cover fair recruitment, equal opportunities, and strict compliance with local employment laws in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, and Macau. Training is a core component, with ongoing workshops on operational knowledge and safety practices. During the reporting period, there were no reported non-compliance cases linked to child or forced labor.
Regarding health and safety, Emperor Culture Group adopts protocols to ensure occupational wellbeing. Employees receive guidance on safety and are encouraged to attend dedicated training sessions. The Group recorded three lost workdays due to injury in the reporting year, and no work-related fatalities in the past three years.
Emperor Culture Group maintains supply-chain oversight and emphasises environmentally friendly procurement. Contracts specify intellectual property rights, and suppliers must meet operating and environmental standards. The Group adopts anti-corruption policies, including staff training on bribery prevention and whistle-blowing procedures.
On community engagement, Emperor Culture Group participates in fundraising and volunteering initiatives. Examples during the period include charitable film screenings, red-packet fundraisers, and various donation programmes, all aimed at supporting different groups such as students, the elderly, and underprivileged communities.
