Fuel Price Adjustment Announcement: What Drivers Need to Know

International oil prices took a hit on the 18th, marking a third consecutive day of declines. At the close of trading on that day, light crude oil futures for October delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell by $1.61, settling at $100.30 per barrel, a drop of 1.58%. Meanwhile, London Brent crude futures for November delivery decreased by 95 cents, closing at $103.87 per barrel, reflecting a 0.91% decline.

Based on the current pricing mechanism for refined oil products, the next adjustment to fuel prices is scheduled to take effect at 24:00 on September 24th. As of the 17th of September, which marked the 4th working day of the statistical cycle, projections indicate that gasoline and diesel prices are expected to increase by 610 yuan per ton and 590 yuan per ton, respectively. When broken down, this translates to a rise of 0.49 yuan per liter for 92-octane gasoline, 0.52 yuan per liter for 95-octane gasoline, and 0.5 yuan per liter for 0-diesel fuel.
