IBM has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cognitus, a company based in Dallas, Texas. Cognitus specializes in providing SAP S/4HANA-based services, featuring industry-specific solutions and AI-driven capabilities. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. This acquisition will further strengthen IBM's SAP capabilities in complex and regulated industries, such as aerospace and defense, energy and utilities, as well as manufacturing. The business will bring essential SAP expertise, including skills related to SAP's RISE and GROW initiatives, along with a rich portfolio of software assets.
