The fourth edition of the "Zero-Carbon Future: ESG Innovation Practice Awards" has officially launched, signifying ESG's transition into a new phase.

As sustainability disclosure standards become more defined, ESG is no longer just a corporate report but is becoming embedded in corporate strategy, operations, products, and technology. Meanwhile, new technologies like AI, renewable energy, and advanced materials, along with industrial shifts, are presenting companies with fresh opportunities and challenges.

Truly valuable ESG practices go beyond what is disclosed; they focus on actions taken, problems solved, and the long-term value created. Since 2022, the organizers have hosted three editions of this awards, consistently tracking Chinese companies' innovative efforts in environmental, social, and governance fields.

This fourth edition will continue to seek out corporate cases that address real-world issues through concrete actions, drive sustainability through innovation, and offer valuable benchmarks for industries.

Four Award Categories

Green Transformation Pioneers focuses on corporate innovations in energy conservation, emission reduction, green production, resource utilization, climate action, and the circular economy.

Social Value Pioneers examines how companies use their products, services, and capabilities to meet societal needs and create positive social impact.

Excellent Governance Pioneers looks at practices in corporate governance, risk management, business ethics, information disclosure, data security, and technological ethics.

Industrial Innovation Pioneers highlights how companies integrate ESG into products, technology, business models, and supply chains to drive industry upgrades through innovation.

What We Look For in Cases

Real Implementation: Cases must be already executed or have a clear practice, with demonstrable results.

Innovation: They should show innovation in technology, products, management, or business models.

Tangible Outcomes: They must produce positive effects on the environment, society, or corporate governance, ideally backed by data.

Long-Term Value: They should be strongly linked to the company's own business and development strategy.

Reference Value: They should provide a reference for solving similar problems within the industry.

Selection Method

The awards will gather case information from corporate applications, public disclosures, expert recommendations, and media sources. A professional review committee, composed of ESG experts, scholars, and industry leaders, will conduct a comprehensive evaluation.

Timeline

August to September: Awards registration period.

October: Voting and review process.

November: Awards announcement.

In 2026, the focus is on moving ESG from "disclosure" to "action," and from "action" to "value."
