Want Want China Executes 350,000-Share Buyback at HK$3.30 Average; Issued Shares Hold at 11.80 Billion

Want Want China Holdings Limited reported no change in its issued share capital following a series of on-market repurchases carried out under its existing share-buyback mandate.

On 13 July 2026, the company repurchased 350,000 ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices between HK$3.28 and HK$3.32 per share, for a total outlay of approximately HK$1.16 million. These shares are designated for cancellation.

Including earlier purchases between 2 and 10 July 2026, Want Want China has bought back 8.98 million shares this month at volume-weighted average prices ranging from HK$3.16 to HK$3.42 per share. The combined repurchases represent 0.0761 % of the 11.80 billion shares outstanding when the current mandate was approved on 26 August 2025.

Despite these transactions, the company’s issued share capital remains unchanged at 11.80 billion shares as of 13 July 2026 because the repurchased shares had not yet been cancelled. The repurchase mandate authorises the company to buy back up to 1.18 billion shares; therefore, 99.24 % of the mandate capacity is still available.

Under listing regulations, Want Want China is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until 12 August 2026. All repurchases were executed in compliance with Hong Kong Stock Exchange requirements, as confirmed by the board.
