Indonesia Reduces Domestic Flight Fuel Surcharges Following Decline in Jet Fuel Prices

Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation announced on August 1st that it will lower the maximum fuel surcharge cap for domestic flights from 50% to 30% of the regulated maximum ticket price, citing a decline in global aviation kerosene prices.

This new regulation applies exclusively to commercial domestic economy class flights. The Ministry of Transportation will periodically review the price cap to ensure that ticket costs remain affordable for passengers.

The policy adjustment aims to maintain national aviation connectivity while also ensuring the long-term operational stability of airlines.
