Intel CEO Tan Lip-Bu is personally investing $12 million to participate in the company's expanded stock offering, which has been increased to a total of $20 billion.

Daniel Newman, CEO of Futurum Group, described this move as a powerful vote of confidence in Intel. According to a prospectus supplement filed by Intel with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Wednesday, Tan Lip-Bu and one of his family members have agreed to purchase a combined $12 million in Intel shares as part of this offering.

On Tuesday, Intel announced it would issue 210,526,315 shares at a price of $95 per share, raising the total offering from the previously announced $15 billion to $20 billion. The company also granted underwriters a 30-day over-allotment option to purchase an additional 31,578,947 shares.

Newman highlighted Tan Lip-Bu's investment on social media platform X, stating, "Tan Lip-Bu's personal $12 million commitment to this Intel stock offering should be seen as a strong signal of his confidence in the company's future prospects."
