Everest Medicines (01952) is up 4.29% at HK$29.18, 3D Medicines (01244) has gained 1.94% to HK$2.89, and Metis TechBio-P (07666) is trading 1.44% higher at HK$16.22.
On the news front, on September 21, Moderna announced that three research abstracts for its individualized mRNA neoantigen therapy co-developed with Merck have been accepted and will be presented at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress in October.
According to Huaxin Securities, cancer vaccines represent a major breakthrough direction for mRNA technology in the future. Infectious disease vaccines are constrained by epidemic prevention and control, while the oncology field has substantial unmet demand, with the global cancer patient population continuing to grow. mRNA cancer vaccines are the core pathway for the market value of mRNA technology to leap forward.
Notably, on August 25, CanSinoBIO signed a "Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement for the Co-Development of mRNA Personalized Therapeutic Tumor Vaccines" with Dpu Biotech.
Previously in the mRNA field, CanSinoBIO had already laid out mRNA vaccine research and development for indications including glioblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, and cervical cancer. Everest Medicines plans to launch an IIT Ib study of its mRNA vaccine EVM16 in the fourth quarter of 2026.
