ASML Holding NV, the world's largest supplier of computer chip manufacturing equipment, reported on Wednesday that its second-quarter revenue and profit exceeded expectations, driven by demand from artificial intelligence (AI) chip manufacturers.
For the three months ended June 30, ASML Holding NV's revenue was 9.33 billion euros ($10.90 billion), surpassing the analyst consensus estimate of 8.80 billion euros. Net profit for the quarter was 2.92 billion euros, also beating the analyst median forecast of 2.62 billion euros.
