U.S. aerial firefighting company Bridger Aerospace announced on Monday that it has received two separate 160-day mission task orders from the U.S. Forest Service for four CL-415EAF "Super Scooper" firefighting aircraft. The contracts guarantee a minimum of $30 million in standby revenue.

The announcement indicates the first task order commenced on May 8, the same day it was received. The second order will ensure coverage through the fourth quarter of 2026. Compared to last year's 120-day guaranteed flight days per aircraft, this order adds 40 days per aircraft. The four Super Scoopers will provide a total of 640 guaranteed flight days, representing the longest-duration mission order in Bridger's history.

Sam Davis, CEO of Bridger Aerospace, stated this marks a significant turning point for the company and the U.S. approach to forest firefighting. Seeing a second consecutive year of earlier contract award dates and longer contract terms further demonstrates the Forest Service's commitment to proactive wildfire management. He noted that as wildfire activity evolves into a more persistent, year-round threat, rapid response capability is critical, and the company's aircraft are built for this mission.

Bridger Aerospace, headquartered in Belgrade, Montana, is one of the leading aerial firefighting companies in the United States, providing aerial suppression and wildfire management services to federal and state government agencies. Shortly before receiving this order, the company reported its first-quarter financial results, with revenue of $8.51 million and a net loss of $31.3 million. However, management reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance of $135 to $145 million in revenue and adjusted EBITDA of $55 to $60 million.
