Tongbao Optoelectronics positions itself as a manufacturer of automotive electronic components. Its primary business involves the research, development, production, and sales of automotive electronics, including lighting systems, electronic control systems, and energy management systems.

The company's foundational business is automotive lighting systems, and it has long served well-known automobile manufacturers and parts suppliers. Its automotive lighting products have been implemented in various popular models from brands such as SAIC-GM-Wuling, GAC Aion, GAC Trumpchi, Dongfeng Nissan, and SAIC Volkswagen.

According to its prospectus, Tongbao Optoelectronics reported revenues of 390 million yuan, 529 million yuan, 588 million yuan, and 329 million yuan for the years 2022, 2023, 2024, and the first half of 2025, respectively. As of the signing date of the prospectus, Liu Wei, Liu Guoxue, and Tao Jianfang collectively held 44,398,545 shares, representing 78.7487% of the company's total equity. Liu Guoxue and Tao Jianfang are husband and wife, and Liu Wei is their son. Liu Guoxue serves as the company's Chairman, Liu Wei as Vice Chairman and General Manager, and Tao Jianfang as a Director. The three individuals exert significant influence over board resolutions, shareholder meetings, and daily operational management, making them the controlling shareholders and actual controllers of the company.

Notably, twelve relatives of the controlling family are employed at Tongbao Optoelectronics, holding positions ranging from management roles to security and cleaning staff. For instance, Liu Guoxue's younger brother, Liu Jianxue, is responsible for cleaning management at the factory; his sister-in-law, Shen Yafeng, works as a packaging operator; Tao Jianfang's elder sister, Tao Jianhua, serves as a handyman; her brother-in-law, Chen Hanjiang, works as a gatekeeper; their nephew, Chen Feng, holds the position of Deputy General Manager; and Chen Feng's wife, Gao Jing, serves as the procurement department supervisor.
