Shares of Attovia Therapeutics (ATTO) soared 23.53% in intraday trading on Wednesday, marking a strong debut on the Nasdaq after the company's upsized initial public offering.
The biotech firm priced its IPO at $17.00 per share, the top of the marketed range, and increased the deal size to 17 million shares from the originally planned 12.5 million, raising approximately $289 million. The offering was managed by Morgan Stanley, Leerink Partners, Citigroup, and RBC Capital Markets.
Pre-market indications had pointed to a robust open, with the stock expected to start trading between $20 and $24, reflecting heightened investor demand for Attovia's pipeline of immune-mediated disease therapies, including its lead program ATTO-1310 for chronic pruritic conditions.
