China Telecom Corporation Limited announced that its employee representatives have unanimously elected Madam Guan Lixin, 54, as Employee Director for the company’s ninth board session. Her tenure will begin on 2 June 2026 and will conclude with the end of the ninth Board’s term.
The company will set Guan’s remuneration under the Directors’ remuneration proposal for fiscal year 2026, which is scheduled for shareholder approval at the 2025 annual general meeting.
Guan is a senior economist with a bachelor’s degree in Chinese language and literature. Her prior roles include Vice General Manager, General Counsel and Chairlady of the Labour Union at China Telecom Cloud Technology Co., Ltd.; Director of Shanghai Ideal Information Industry (Group) Co., Ltd.; and Employee Representative Supervisor at China Telecom Corporation Limited. She currently serves as Vice Chairlady of the Labour Union and Employee Director of China Telecommunications Corporation, bringing extensive operational management experience in telecommunications.
The announcement confirms that Guan has not held any directorships in other listed companies during the past three years and holds no shares in China Telecom under Part XV of Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Ordinance. The company states that there is no additional information that requires disclosure under Rule 13.51(2) of the Hong Kong Listing Rules.
