On January 17, as heavy snow fell over the capital, the Yamenkou Community and the Yamenkou New Community Working Group organized separate heartwarming activities, using thoughtful services to dispel the winter chill and welcoming the Lunar New Year with abundant warmth.

The Yamenkou Community hosted a便民大集 (Convenience Market) that warmed hearts. That day, the area in front of the Yamenkou Community Neighborhood Committee office was filled with a warm atmosphere as the "Serving the People Convenience Market" opened vibrantly, attracting numerous residents who participated despite the snowfall. The market was rich in variety and brimming with lively energy: fresh meats were affordable and high-quality, dried fruits and roasted nuts filled the air with fragrance, daily necessities and clothing came in a complete range of styles, and sweet cakes were particularly popular; stalls featuring traditional crafts like blown sugar figurines and sugar painting were especially crowded, with skilled artisans deftly transforming molten sugar into vivid shapes, allowing residents to relive childhood memories as both adults and children handled them with delight. Despite the slippery roads, the residents' enthusiasm remained undiminished as they moved between stalls selecting purchases, stopping to admire the crafts, with continuous sounds of laughter and cheerful conversation. The venue gathered a diverse array of goods including beverages, casual snacks, toys, and imported foods, allowing residents to sample selections and purchase New Year goods in a one-stop shop, immersing themselves in the rich festive atmosphere; staff also thoughtfully reminded residents to dress warmly in the cold weather, showing care in the details.
