On 27 February 2026, China Construction Bank (00939) convened a Board of Directors meeting in Beijing, chaired by Chairman Zhang Jinliang. All 14 eligible directors attended in person, fulfilling relevant legal requirements. The Board reviewed and approved the proposal for President Zhang Yi to concurrently serve as Chief Compliance Officer, with Zhang Yi abstaining from the vote.

The Nomination and Remuneration Committee considered this appointment, and independent non-executive directors concurred with the decision. Zhang Yi meets all legal and regulatory requirements for the position. The concurrent role takes effect upon the Board’s approval.

Zhang Yi has been Vice Chairman of the Board since July 2024, Executive Director since June 2024, and President since May 2024. He also began serving as Chairman of Sino-German Bausparkasse in January 2025 and previously held executive positions at other major financial institutions. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and a master’s degree in business administration from Renmin University of China.
