From May 10 to 11, 2026, Deputy Governor of the People's Bank of China, Xuan Changneng, attended the Governors' Meeting of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) held in Basel, Switzerland. Central bank governors at the meeting engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the global economic and financial situation, the transmission effects of oil price shocks and monetary policy adjustments, as well as the practical risks and challenges facing emerging market economies. During the meeting, Deputy Governor Xuan Changneng also met with representatives from some participating central banks to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
