A recent investigation discovered that while these products are shipped from bonded warehouses, the New Zealand-based company behind them has been deregistered, the product itself is unregistered, and its certificate of origin is a forgery.

The shop owner asserted the product is an original import from New Zealand, available for sale on major e-commerce platforms including Tmall, JD.com, Pinduoduo, and Xiaohongshu, with single-item sales exceeding 70,000 units, making it a viral网红 product on social media platforms.
