Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport experienced a peak in travel passenger flow during the recently concluded National Day holiday, recording a cumulative passenger throughput of 101,588 trips, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%, and handling 720 transport flights, up 4.6% compared to the same period last year, with both figures showing significant growth that met the travel needs of residents and tourists.

As a core gateway for Yangzhou's opening to the outside world, the airport saw a concentrated release of passenger travel demand during the National Day holiday, with overlapping flows from family visits, tourism, and business trips, resulting in an average daily passenger throughput exceeding 14,500 trips and more than 102 flights handled per day.

From a data comparison perspective, this year's National Day Golden Week passenger throughput achieved a 7.7% increase over the same period last year, while flight support volume grew by 4.6% year-on-year, with the growth rate in passengers outpacing that of flights, reflecting an improvement in the load factor per flight and a stronger recovery in passenger travel demand compared to the growth in flight supply.

This growth also echoes the recovery momentum in Yangzhou's cultural and tourism market, as more out-of-town tourists choose to visit Yangzhou by air, and residents of Yangzhou, Taizhou, and surrounding cities have maintained steady growth in choosing air travel.

To address the peak passenger flow during the National Day Golden Week, Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport deployed various support measures in advance: additional check-in and security channels were opened for peak travel periods to optimize passenger boarding processes; volunteer service personnel were added in the waiting areas to provide full-process assistance for special passengers such as the elderly, weak, sick, disabled, and pregnant; and operational support departments conducted early inspections of facilities and equipment, optimized flight takeoff and landing scheduling, and ensured a high level of on-time flight performance.

Throughout the holiday, all operational indicators remained stable, passenger travel experiences were positive, and the goal of "safe, smooth, and orderly" support was achieved.

Industry insiders noted that the data growth during this year's National Day Golden Week reflects the steady momentum in the development of Yangzhou's aviation market. On one hand, with Yangzhou's economic and social development and the rising influence of its cultural and tourism brand, the scale of passengers choosing air travel continues to expand; on the other hand, the airport has continuously optimized its route network in recent years, adding multiple domestic hotspot city routes, enhancing connectivity, and attracting more passenger flow.
